Daycare Vs Dayhome
Daycares have two types; one that is done out-of-the-home and the other that is done at home with other children. This can be considered as a formal and informal type of daycare. “Formal” daycares are usually run in a facility while “informal” daycares are done in the comfort of a home. They both involved a varied group of children, however, daycare services are observed to be more structured than day home services where the children learn in a slower pace, at their own time and with more freedom than the activities that daycare children does. Another significant difference between the two types of daycare service is that some day home services may not be required to have a license to build their business and bring their services to parents and students. They are required to follow standards set by similar businesses but not all day home places require official licensing.
Daycares generally cost more but the benefit your child gains from both types of daycares may vary wildly depending on how comfortable they are on each environment setting. There are kids that fare better when they are in the comfort of a home, but there are some that also like the structure of activities in play centers. Playcare centers such as in Big Fun has a unique feeling that incorporates daycare and day home vibe together. Their location has a homey feel to it but they do provide sets of activities for children. While this may be true, the activities they provide do not have strict schedules and they do encourage free play among children just like in day home.
