Daycare and Kindergarten
Kindergarten is for children aged 4 to 6 years old whereas daycares are for children with a wider age range. Parents should know that their most important difference is in how they would teach and benefit your child’s growth. Daycare is more focused on developmental programs for your child and incorporates a lot of free play in their activities. They also tend to your child’s daily needs and can provide services for your child and basically monitor them for the rest of the day while the parents are away. Kindergartens, on the other hand, are very educational and instructive when it comes to their practices. They are normally set a bit shorter than the normal schooling hours and they do not provide child care, unlike in daycare centers. Kindergarten basically provides an introduction for children into their first few academic years in elementary school.
It is important for all children to be preempted before joining an elementary school. For a lot of parents, joining a kindergarten program is a way to go, but there are other alternatives that parents are starting to explore for their children. There are playcare centers such as Big Fun in Davao that provides the same learning environment that is displayed in kindergarten and daycares. They can take in children of different ages and they promote a learning environment that helps a child’s overall growth; physically, mentally, emotionally, and even socially. There are several benefits of playcare centers like Big Fun that a lot of parents have not to explore yet.
