how daycare works
Daycare centers, as we know, is a place where parents can bring their children to be nurtured and taken care of while parents are working their jobs. It is as the name suggests, daycares are basically a ‘care’ center that is open during the day or normal working hours to accommodate parents with children that are working office hours. They help tend to the needs of children while their parents are away and daycares also offer activities to entertain them. Children can play, nap, eat, and socialize with other kids in daycare. It serves as their home away from home during the day to keep them occupied, safe and secure.
Daycares usually open in the morning around 8 am, depending on the daycare and its location. Parents bring their child to the daycare in the morning and give the staff a bag of their extra needs such as clothes, snacks, or even diapers and bottles for younger kids. Throughout the day, when the children’s parents are at work, the daycare will have a schedule of activities for them to do. Daycares are run by professional educators, which means that the way they set up the activities and time for eating, napping, playing, and socializing with other children are all planned to properly accommodate the children no matter what age they are. Some kids go to daycare for only a few hours, until lunch or in the afternoon before their parents fetch them. Some stay until the evening when their parents get off work. This flexibility in their time is a great convenience to parents.
